3-D Flythrough Sample

Exploring the next generation of MACA awareness

The following video sample (43 seconds, 4.03 MB) shows a real-time Google EarthTM 3-D flythrough of the IR 301 low-level training route (LLTR), which is set in central Idaho and parts of southwestern Montana. The introduction of this exciting technology will bring even more valuable information to General Aviation pilots in future phases of this product.

Future enhancements to SEEandAVOID.org may include detailed 3-D flythroughs of all LLTRs, military operations areas, and FAA special-use airspace. GA pilots will then be able to see detailed visual information about each item before they file flight plans that may take them through or near these areas.
